Samsung Galaxy S9 Now Officially Supports Google ARCore

Augmented reality technology is now more popular among the people over the past couple of years, but with the arrival of Google ARCore, it becomes better to use on Android. This is the one of the reasons that now Samsung Galaxy S9 supports Google ARCore.

 Google’s augmented reality developer platform, ARCore, was available on Pixel / Nexus devices. However it was also available on a few handsets from brands like Asus, Huawei, LG, Moto, and Sony.

Samsung Galaxy S9 is Now Supporting Google ARCore

Google ARCore is designed to work on a Android phones which runs Android 7.0 (Nougat) and later.

Google ARCore is tracking the position of the mobile device as it moves, and building its own understanding of the real world. This technology uses the camera of phone in order to identify features, and tracks how those points move over time. ARCore determines both the position and orientation of the phone with a combination of the movement of these points and readings from the phone’s inertial sensors.

Google ARCore is able to detect flat surfaces, like a table or the floor, and can also estimate the average lighting in the area around it.

Google has updated its ARCore support page listing. Now users of Galaxay S9 & S9+ will be able to download the ARCore app from Google Play on these devices
